CUET History Syllabus

There are 27 domain-specific subjects for Section II of July 2022 CUET. The other two sections: Section I and Section II are to test students' language and general test ability respectively. History falls in Section II as one of the domain subjects. One can choose a maximum of six domain subjects. The CUET History syllabus includes the chapters taught in CBSE Class 12 Boards. However, the topics are pruned to focus on the basic subject matter of the chapter.

CUET History Question Paper

The CUET History paper will have 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), where students will have to answer only 40. Like all other core subjects of Section II, the time allotted for CUET History will be 45 minutes only. The sample paper released by NTA reflects a change in question typology. The questions asked for CUET History will be different from traditional straightforward MCQs. These questions are designed to test students' competency rather than their rote learning capacity. Students should be able to join the dots to answer the questions. Sometimes a question may consume more time than it actually should. Therefore, students are advised to prepare enough so they do not waste their time unnecessarily.
